VANCOUVER – Finding a parking space in Vancouver is about to become much easier, thanks to a newly announced partnership between Parking Base and EasyPark. Through this collaboration EasyPark will introduce a new reservations platform powered by Parking Base’s Destination Manager technology at all 130 EasyPark-managed facilities across the city. Drivers will be able to reserve parking spaces via the EasyPark website or directly through Google Maps. This integration eliminates the uncertainty of finding parking, ensuring a stress-free journey for Vancouver residents, visitors to the city, and commuters who work there.

“Our mission has always been to simplify parking for our customers, and with this digital parking platform we are making parking in Vancouver more convenient than ever,” said Ravinder Bains, Director, Client Services at EasyPark. “At the same time, this is a powerful digital tool that will allow us to manage our parking facilities more efficiently. Our partnership with Parking Base represents a win/win for both EasyPark and our customers.”

The impact of the new digital parking platform will be particularly strong when it comes to event parking. EasyPark currently manages parking for approximately 40 events each month, and this new system will make event parking a breeze. Attendees can reserve their parking spots well in advance—weeks or even months before the event—guaranteeing a hassle-free arrival. Whether heading to a concert, sports game, or festival, drivers can secure their spaces and avoid last-minute parking stress.

“Vancouver is always a popular tourist destination, but with the FIFA World Cup coming here in 2026, we are expecting a huge influx of visitors-” said Bains. “With an anticipated 350,000 football fans visiting for the tournament, the city’s parking resources will be tested. This technology will allow us to meet that test by permitting fans to reserve parking in advance, assuring that they won’t miss the action because they are unnecessarily spending time searching for parking.”

Unlike many parking prebooking solutions, the EasyPark’s reservations platform allows users to book their parking spots as far in advance as necessary. This means that for major events, conventions, or planned trips, drivers can lock in their parking months ahead of time. This level of certainty is particularly beneficial for visitors to Vancouver who want to ensure a smooth arrival experience without the added stress of searching for a parking space upon arrival.

A key component of the Destination Manager platform is its seamless integration with Google Maps. Since millions of drivers already rely on Google Maps for navigation, this feature makes it incredibly easy to plan trips and secure parking through a familiar interface.

“The platform’s integration with google is particularly parker-friendly,” said Parking Base Senior Vice President Chris Perry. “When drivers use Google Maps to get directions to their destination in the city, they can use the same app to find the nearest EasyPark parking lot, prebook a space there, and pay for their parking. Now the EasyPark site can meet practically all of any driver’s parking needs.”

One of the standout features of the system is its adaptability to changing plans. If a parker needs more time than initially anticipated, the platform will send a notification when their session is nearing its end. With just a few taps, they can extend their parking stay without having to rush back to their vehicle or risk a fine.

“This system is intended to give drivers piece of mind,” said Perry. “When drivers find themselves delayed due to an extended dinner, an overtime sports game, or an unexpected work meeting, they don’t need to rush back to their cars or risk a fine. They can just use their personal devices to extend their parking session.”

The EasyPark-Parking Base partnership isn’t just about reserving a spot—it’s about enhancing the overall parking experience. Future plans include adding valuable amenities like EV charging stations, premium parking options, and parking validations from local businesses. These enhancements will provide Vancouver drivers even more convenience and sustainability-focused solutions.

Beyond customer convenience, this technology-driven solution also benefits EasyPark’s operations. The platform enables EasyPark to efficiently manage parking rates and inventory, ensuring optimal space utilization across their facilities. Additionally, the ability to create custom reservation workflows allows EasyPark to tailor its parking solutions to meet the unique needs of tenants, clients, landlords, employees, and individual customers.

The partnership between EasyPark and Parking Base is a sign of the times. Digital parking management platforms are becoming increasingly important for parking operations because they dramatically improve the parking experience while streamlining owners’ and operators’ operational and financial management. By integrating the Destination Manager platform into their operations, EasyPark is not only enhancing the parking experience but also positioning itself as a leader in providing smart, accessible, and efficient transportation solutions for the City of Vancouver.
